The lovely lady artist who tools these stunning leather pieces for me lives in the mountains of Virginia and carves designs on saddles for different saddle makers across the nation. Pat is meticulous in her tooling work whether she is using my designs or her own. She burnishes the edges with wood which is covered with beeswax. She uses a dry dye technique for her subtle colors. All her leather is thick and rich, textured and color stained for a quality look unmatched by any other medium. The items even SMELL wonderfully LEATHER! They are totally hand made and are definitely the REAL THING!

Arabian Horses PORTRAIT Purse    MAKE THIS A PORTRAIT PURSE! We can change the colors of the horses and the markings to personalize this purse into a one-of-a-kind. This purse features Arabian horses on the front and back. On the front is the head portrait of a chestnut Arabian stallion. He is set in a starry background with oak leaves framing him. On the back is a mare and foal “struttin’ their stuff” and they, too, are framed in oak leaves and nuts with a grassy turf beneath. The purse is completely tooled front and back, sides and bottom with an intricate diamond and herringbone design. There are no less than 6 brass fixtures and 2 brass rings attaching bag to strap with braiding in the center top of the strap. There is a double front closure of brass snap and horseshoe button (The inside of the horse shoe has the bottom of the horse’s foot showing including the frog) with wrap around lattigo strap and, of course, leather stitching all around. $195.00

Dream Chaser Leather Carousel Purse The horse on this purse is from my famous Arabian carousel horse "Dream Chaser". He is appropriately set in a starry background with desert roses tooled around him and framed in darker stitching. There are two different soft hues of leather here. There is even fine tooling on the leather shoulder strap including the braided section. (How does she do that all in one piece?) There is a brass snap closure as well as a strap to circle the horseshoe closure button. The inside of that closure is carved out to resemble the frog at the bottom of a real horse's hoof!!! There are no less than six brass fixtures and a brass ring (appropriate don't you think?) attaching the purse to the strap. This purse is tough enough to have been carried by the pony express, yet it is a stunningly sophisticated accessory for your wardrobe. Included with this ensemble, is a fully carved wallet and carousel horse head key ring! The wallet is completely tooled front and back (including the latch) with desert roses surrounding "Dream Chaser". It is hand stitched all around and on the inside where you will find a change purse (with brass fixture), several windows for cards and licenses, etc. plus cash holder and "secret compartment". And these lovely pieces even SMELL deliciously LEATHER! They are definitely the REAL THING! $245.00
